Transcendence 1

When you exit the elevator, you witness a vast space featuring floor-to-ceiling windows and mirrored floors and ceilings.

This unexpected addition to the observation deck will leave you disoriented and surprised.

At both ends of the room are circular openings referred to as portals, which offer a rather dizzying effect similar to looking through a kaleidoscope.

The mirrored surfaces provide many opportunities for captivating photos of the city skyline.

Be mindful of what you wear, as walking on the mirrored floor can be tricky.

Nonetheless, there is a non-reflective path for those who are more comfortable.

You can admire the skyline and spot iconic landmarks like the Chrysler, Empire State, and Hudson yards from the room.

Reflect

In Transcendence 1, you will find yourself in a much smaller chamber called Reflect.

On the floor lies an artistic display entitled “Clouds,” created by Yayoi Kusama.

Affinity

Affinity is one of the most exciting rooms, with dozens of large, silver balloons filling the room and swirling around with the help of strategically placed fans.

Transcendence 2

Once you have finished exploring the depths of Affinity, the following step is to ascend one floor to Transcendence 2

It enables you to observe the mirrored environment of Transcendence 1.

Levitation

Those brave enough to take the plunge can experience the two glass-enclosed balconies of Levitation, 1,063 feet in the air.

This daring addition to the level offers a heart-stopping thrill that is not for the faint of heart.

Unity

An interactive experience called ‘Unity’ was designed to engage visitors on the 92nd floor of a building and provide them with a high-tech experience.

The installation uses real-time visuals, which include a 47.5 x 12-foot Samsung digital LED wall.

That displays a full-screen animated cloudscape and guests’ own likenesses rendered amongst midground and background cloud elements.

The technical art and CG team created complex cloud formations that took into consideration lighting, background elements, and camera to bring visual quality to the project.

Aprés

Another level up is Aprés, which features a café with a chalet-inspired interior and an outdoor terrace that wraps around three sides of the building.

You could get your complimentary cocktail if you bought the Ultimate SUMMIT ticket.

Ascent

If you want to go further, buy an extra ticket and ascend with Ascent.

A pair of glass elevators that take you to the highest point of One Vanderbilt (1,210 feet above the ground).
